Translation: my little garden, and it's coming along! I planted some wildflower seeds, chamomile and sweet peas the first week of January. The sweet peas were doing great, but unfortunately my dog was feeling sick and ate the green tops off of them... I'm really hoping that they'll keep growing strong. The wildflowers grew in patches, so I planted more in the areas that are still bare. The chamomile isn't doing too great, so I dug out the area and planted a lavender bush there instead. I also put in some ranunculus and planted poppy seeds around them.
I also started some cosmo and hollyhock seedlings in newspaper cones. I water them frequently and place a clear plastic bag over the box to create a green-house effect. I think "ghetto-greenhouse" is an appropriate term. All in all, a very successful gardening session! Not as much of a disaster as I had anticipated.
